How to reduce bounce rate for SEO?

Bounce Rate as defined by Google Analytics is: The percentage of single-page visits ( i.e. visits in which the person left your site from the entrance page ). Bounce Rate is a measure of visit quality. A high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance ( landing ) pages are not relevant to your visitors.

Bounce Rate information can be found when you use Google Analytics. Bounce Rate formula is Total One-Page visits divided by Total Entrance Visits.

These are few tips from us to reduce your site's Bounce Rate:

1. Increase your site's load speed. Most internet users only wait for less than three seconds for sites' loading time. Most of them will leave a site after a one page visit if the site's loading time take more than three second. Reduce your sites' loading time by reducing unecessary scripts and images or even videos on it. You can test and analyze your sites' loading time by Google PageSpeed Insights. When it comes to choose between the beauty of your sites' design VS sites' loading time, prioritize your sites' loading time first.

2. Improve your content. Most internet users will be dissapointed when they find your content is not relevant to what they are trying to find on internet. Make sure your content can answer what internet users try to find for. Don't use wrong keywords on your content just in order to increase your sites' traffic. It is useless to have high traffic but also have high bounce rate. Increase your content's readability too. You can test your sites' readability by www.read-able.com.

3. Avoid to use popups. 70% of internets users stated that popups are annoying. Only 14% of internet users respond to popups well.

4. Make your site mobile friendly. Based on statistic data from Statista, Global mobile data traffic is projected to increase nearly sevenfold between 2016 and 2021. According to 2018 statistic data, the global mobile users were 3.7 billion unique users. As of February 2017, mobile devices accounted for 49.7% of web page views worldwide. You should optimize your site' for mobile users. If possible, use a different version of site for mobile users which is highly optimized for mobile users. We use a different version of site for mobile users too on our own website.
